Patty Durand, a former Democratic nominee for the state Public Service Commission, has been arrested for stealing trade secrets from the PSC’s Atlanta headquarters. Many Atlantans were dismayed when Mayor Andre Dickens seemingly tabled the idea of light rail along the Atlanta Beltline, the city’s wildly popular and successful pedestrian path. After all, light rail was a core part of the loop’s original vision, meant to connect the city all around its (eventual) 22-mile loop.
