Planned Parenthood Southeast’s new interim President and CEO Mairo Akpose finds herself at the center of some serious drama, as critics including many current and former staffers and board members say she’s not progressive enough when it comes to gender identity. Atlanta Beltline light rail back on the menu?
Many Atlantans were dismayed when Mayor Andre Dickens seemingly tabled the idea of light rail along the Atlanta Beltline, the city’s wildly popular and successful pedestrian path. After all, light rail was a core part of the loop’s original vision, meant to connect the city all around its (eventual) 22-mile loop.
