A Jonesboro attorney is in hot water after she was caught submitting AI-created legal documents, riddled with errors and fake case citations, in a case against comedian Katt Williams.  Loletha Hale used artificial intelligence to draft a legal brief for a case – which is not in itself illegal – but didn’t check its veracity and it ‘hallucinated’ case citations, forming a bogus legal argument.  She was sanctioned this week by a federal judge, and must notify all clients for the next five years that she improperly used AI in a case.  As many professions grapple with AI usage, Hale’s misuse in court has her boat SINKING…
