A Senate study committee tasked with examining current resources and services being offered to transition age youth throughout Georgia and determining which additional resources and services should be provided to ensure their success adopted its recommendations during the fourth and final meeting late last week. The Senate Study Committee on Additional Services and Resources for Transition Age Youth in Foster Care was chaired by Sen. Kay Kirkpatrick, R–Marietta and was created by Senate Resolution 310.

Lt. Gov. Burt Jones announced his support for the recommendations.
