As the Atlanta Journal-Constitution ends its print edition to go all digital, it can’t find room (even though there are no space limitations) to retain Christian columnist Patricia Holbrook. She is a compelling writer who covered all aspects of religion for 14 years. The newspaper is filled with political opinion writers (many left-of-center) yet no room for a columnist addressing the important topic of religion? Carr joins LSU football fight
In the South, college football is religion – and now it’s politics too. Members of the Southeastern Conference (SEC) are furious with LSU over its attempts to sign players already in the NFL to come back to college to play for the Tigers. On Wednesday, Attorney General Chris Carr, (presumably at the behest of some big names at UGA) urged the SEC to take “all measures available” against LSU. Thursday, the league heeded that advice, suing LSU Head Coach Lane Kiffin. The legal quagmire pitting the conference against itself has LSU SINKING…
