More than 10,000 acres of rare forestland and nearly 45 miles of waterways across the Georgia-Alabama border will be protected following the completion of a major, multi-state conservation project. The project was possible by Georgia’s continued investment through the Georgia Outdoor Stewardship Act (GOSA), according to Sen. Jason Anavitarte, R–Dallas.

Anavitarte joined the Conservation Fund in announcing the successful completion of the Stateline Forest conservation project, which he says will “safeguard one of the most ecologically significant — and publicly valuable — landscapes in the Southeast.”
