With a nebulous Democratic primary field in the 2026 governor’s race, many observers were wondering if two-time candidate Stacey Abrams might re-emerge and throw her hat in the ring.  But she put those questions to bed this week, announcing that she would not be running for office, and instead focusing on stopping “authoritarianism.”  She also has a podcast, new book, and more media projects coming down the pipeline.  With her political machine derailed when The New Georgia Project folded last year, and now bowing out of an open primary contest, Abrams’ political ship is SINKING…
