Georgia lawmakers return to the Capitol today to kick off the 2026 legislative session – which should see a focus on affordability, tax relief, election integrity (specifically the issue of hand-marked ballots), and possible regulations on data centers. It is expected to be an interesting session as many politicians posture for higher office in the midterm elections, and Gov. Brian Kemp enters this final session as the chief lawmaker for the state.

The first week marks the annual Georgia Chamber Eggs and Issues breakfast Wednesday morning, and Kemp’s State of the State Address Thursday.
