President Donald Trump will bring his show to Rome this Thursday for a speech on his administration’s economic wins – and likely to provide a boost to his preferred candidate in an upcoming special election. The trip is the president’s first to the Peach State since his 2024 election victory. A crowded field is duking it out leading up to the March 10th special election to fill the seat of former U.S. Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, who resigned in January. Trump has endorsed District Attorney Clay Fuller in the race, which has more than 20 candidates and seems like a lock to go to a runoff. You can expect just about every serious Republican candidate running for statewide election (or even other Congressional seats) to shuffle around their schedule and make their way to northwest Georgia for their chance to rub shoulders with the president, whose endorsement could be good as gold when it comes to GOP primaries.
