Georgia House Speaker Pro Tem Jan Jones announced Thursday that she will not seek reelection in November, marking the end of one of the most accomplished tenures in state history. Atlanta Beltline light rail back on the menu?
Many Atlantans were dismayed when Mayor Andre Dickens seemingly tabled the idea of light rail along the Atlanta Beltline, the city’s wildly popular and successful pedestrian path. After all, light rail was a core part of the loop’s original vision, meant to connect the city all around its (eventual) 22-mile loop.
