Georgia Power is getting help from the Trump Administration when it comes to beefing up its energy grid in the form of a $22.5 billion federal energy loan package.  The funding comes with a lower interest rate than if the utility went to the private markets, and part of the agreement is that savings (which will add up to billions of dollars) are passed directly to customers.  Georgia Power is embarking on a massive energy expansion project, in large part to support the energy needs of the data center industry that is booming across the state.  The low interest loan has Georgia Power and its customers RISING…
