Just days after former state Rep. Dexter Sharper submitted a letter of resignation to Gov. Brian Kemp, he pleaded guilty to in federal district court to illegally receiving more than $14,000 in pandemic unemployment benefits. That makes him the second Democrat to do so this year, former state Rep. Karen Bennett pleaded guilty to a similar charge. Sharper will be sentenced in July, but prosecutors have asked he pay $10,096 in restitution and an additional $100 administrative fee (a number oddly less than what he fraudulently received). WNBA embroiled in trans-athlete drama
Last Sunday a mother and daughter attended the Atlanta Dream/Indiana Fever basketball game at Atlanta’s State Farm Arena. With two minutes left in overtime the pair were ordered to cover their XX-XY chromosome shirts— and the censorship incident went viral. It’s obvious that left-wing, pro-trans leaders of the Women’s National Basketball Association are intent on suppressing the message that men and women are different and that biological men cannot become women. However, widespread public support exists for these statements of fact, and by trying to censor them the WNBA is actually causing these viral moments.
