Former Democrat state senator Jen Jordan, now a candidate for Georgia Supreme Court justice, has failed to file her mandatory personal financial disclosure report. It’s already three weeks late, and that’s a violation of the law. It also has been discovered that Jordan has done this before and settled. When she unsuccessfully ran for Attorney General in 2022, she was penalized for violating the rules concerning her personal financial disclosure (the same report she has yet to file this time). Atlanta Beltline light rail back on the menu?
Many Atlantans were dismayed when Mayor Andre Dickens seemingly tabled the idea of light rail along the Atlanta Beltline, the city’s wildly popular and successful pedestrian path. After all, light rail was a core part of the loop’s original vision, meant to connect the city all around its (eventual) 22-mile loop. But now the Atlanta City Council is pushing back, with 11 councilmembers, led by Atlanta City Councilwoman Kelsea Bond signing onto a resolution signaling support for the idea.
