Gov. Brian Kemp signed Senate Bill 284 into law Thursday, allowing victims of financial fraud to recoup some of their lost funds.  On the same day, federal prosecutors indicted former First Liberty Building & Loan manager Edwin Brant Frost IV on a wire fraud charge.

“Thank you Governor Kemp for signing this important piece of legislation into law,” said Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger. “Scammers will now face greater obstacles when they try to con hardworking Georgians out of their money.”
