The Saturday night arrest in Washington D.C. of a shooter who confessed to trying to kill President Donald Trump and officials in his administration resulted in the discovery of a “manifesto” he left behind that was dripping with hatred.
It’s the latest example that blatant and vitriolic hatred of political opponents continues to increase, and it is ironic that just days before the White House Correspondents Association dinner shooting, the left-wing Southern Poverty Law Center— the political Left’s self-proclaimed “hate fighter”-- was indicted by a federal grand jury on 11 counts of wire fraud, false statements to a bank and conspiracy to commit concealed money laundering. The bottom line: The SPLC was not “fighting hate groups” as advertised to gullible donors. The grand jury concluded it was instead secretly funding $3 million to members of violent extremist groups (including Ku Klux Klan and Nazi factions) it purported to oppose by paying them to organize and spew hatred against minorities.
