Longtime Putnam County Manager Paul Van Haute was awarded the Jerry R. Griffin Excellence in Public Service Award at the recent ACCG Annual Conference in Savannah. Set to retire at the end of May, Van Haute was recognized for his years of leadership, innovation and commitment in serving the citizens of Putnam County. The prestigious award is given annually to a county official who has made “significant contributions” to his county and its residents, and Van Haute was singled out for his work in addressing Putnam’s infrastructure needs and securing much-needed facilities and amenities for residents and staff. Congratulations to him for the recognition and a fine career in public service!
