It seems like most of the headlines you see related to data centers these days are negative, but here’s a positive spin – European building manufacturing company ArcelorMittal Building Solutions has announced it will establish its North American headquarters in Macon-Bibb County, and alongside it is planning a manufacturing plant.  ArcelorMittal designs and manufactures building envelope systems used to insulate and protect warehouses, factories, and most relevant, data centers.  Its initial investment in the Peach State will bring roughly $57 million and 70 new jobs to Middle Georgia, with plans to double those numbers in coming years.  Macon Mayor Lester Miller says he’s thrilled to add more advanced manufacturing jobs to the region.  “This is exactly the kind of growth we’re working to deliver, and we’re proud to welcome it to Macon.”
