Former Atlanta-based reality TV stars Todd and Julie Chrisley, sentenced to federal prison for bank fraud and tax evasion and later pardoned by President Donald Trump, are suing their former criminal defense attorney for $25 million, claiming he botched their defense. The Chrisleys allege that Christopher Anulewicz failed to suppress evidence gathered via an illegal search that turned up most of the evidence used at the trial. Atlanta, Fulton Co. square off in tax fight
The City of Atlanta has long used tax allocation districts (TADs) as an economic development tool, leveraging property tax increases to pay for local infrastructure projects. But the Fulton County Commission has slammed on the brakes, voting 4-1 to reject a proposed 30-year extension of Atlanta’s TADs.
