Lt. Gov. Burt Jones is seeking Congressional support and funding for Georgia’s hospitals. Late last week, Jones wrote a letter to President Donald Trump and Dr. Mehmet Oz, Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Administrator, in support of their ongoing efforts to address a fairer and more equitable wage index system (AWI) under the Medicare Inpatient Prospective Payment System (IPPS).

Jones is encouraging Congress to support these efforts to ensure that Georgia hospitals can have access to a financial benefit ranging from $150,000,000 to $245,400,000.
