Brian Kemp has filled three important judicial vacancies to the Superior Court of the Atlanta Judicial Circuit: Debbie-Ann Rickman to fill a vacancy created by the resignation of Judge Shermela Williams; David Emadi to the Superior to fill a vacancy created by the resignation of the Judge Jane C. Barwick; and, recognizing her recent election to the Atlanta Judicial Circuit, Nikia Smith Sellers to fill a vacancy that will arise upon the appointment of the Judge Paige Whitaker to the Georgia Court of Appeals. One of the breakout stars of this summer’s FIFA World Cup was “Freddy,” the German soccer fan who traveled the country, documenting his visit and capturing the hearts of Americans with his wide-eyed appreciation of Southern cultural landmarks like Buc-ee’s, Waffle House, and the north Georgia town of Helen.
