Brian Kemp has filled three important judicial vacancies to the Superior Court of the Atlanta Judicial Circuit: Debbie-Ann Rickman to fill a vacancy created by the resignation of Judge Shermela Williams; David Emadi to the Superior to fill a vacancy created by the resignation of the Judge Jane C. Barwick; and, recognizing her recent election to the Atlanta Judicial Circuit, Nikia Smith Sellers to fill a vacancy that will arise upon the appointment of the Judge Paige Whitaker to the Georgia Court of Appeals. Carr joins LSU football fight
In the South, college football is religion – and now it’s politics too. Members of the Southeastern Conference (SEC) are furious with LSU over its attempts to sign players already in the NFL to come back to college to play for the Tigers. On Wednesday, Attorney General Chris Carr, (presumably at the behest of some big names at UGA) urged the SEC to take “all measures available” against LSU.
