Personal finance platform WalletHub recently published its rankings of America’s best-run cities, utilizing a “Quality of Services” score based on 36 metrics across six key service areas, and then comparing those results to each city’s per capita budget. Coming in tops for Georgia was Columbus, at 23rd overall, bolstered by having the 7th smallest budget per capita. That’s a nod to the Fountain City’s efficient local government, which combined with its low cost of living and booming downtown, makes it one of the most attractive cities in the Southeast for young families.
