The U.S. House this week passed a bill that would make daylight savings time permanent. The idea is popular with most Americans (as well as the Trump Administration), since it would allow it to stay light later in the winter. In fact, the Georgia legislature already passed Senate Bill 100 back in 2021, which would immediately make the switch as soon as Congress approves. The hold up? Questions linger over Atlanta City Hall investigation
An ongoing investigation into former Atlanta Municipal Clerk Foris Webb III is hitting roadblocks, as city employees are delaying or rejecting interviews by the inspector general. Webb received more than $900,000 in consulting fees from the city for his “work” on a referendum meant to block the city’s law enforcement training center, dubbed “Cop City.” That referendum got held up in court, never wound up doing anything, and the center was built, but Webb continued to cash a $35,000 check each month.
