A new study reports that the University System of Georgia (USG) generated a record $25.1 billion for the state’s economy in Fiscal Year 2025 – an 8.9% increase over last year. The study also found that USG generated 170,096 jobs across Georgia, and that bachelor’s graduates will earn $1.4 million more than they would without a degree over the course of their careers. Carr joins LSU football fight
In the South, college football is religion – and now it’s politics too. Members of the Southeastern Conference (SEC) are furious with LSU over its attempts to sign players already in the NFL to come back to college to play for the Tigers. On Wednesday, Attorney General Chris Carr, (presumably at the behest of some big names at UGA) urged the SEC to take “all measures available” against LSU.
