The City of Atlanta and the Georgia Democratic Party made a strong push to host the 2028 Democratic National Convention, but fell short once again when it was announced that Boston, Denver and Philadelphia are the three finalists. Norwood endorses Jackson
Atlanta City Councilwoman Mary Norwood has given her endorsement to Republican candidate for governor Rick Jackson, a move that’s not necessarily surprising, but is notable. Norwood lost a runoff for Atlanta mayor to Keisha Lance Bottoms back in 2017 by only 800 votes, showing her popularity in Atlanta, particularly up in Buckhead where there’s a large swathe of GOP and independent voters. Jackson would love to cut into the Atlanta vote, and if Norwood supporters help him do so, his odds of a November win are RISING…
