Don’t like traffic roundabouts? You’re not alone – and too bad! They’re here to stay in Georgia, with GDOT prioritizing them at busy interchanges statewide. There’s even a new traffic ‘peanut’ (two roundabouts linked together) in Bryan County near Savannah. Studies show that roundabouts decrease injury crashes by huge margins (think 75% or more) while also easing congestion and making it easier for pedestrians. Carr joins LSU football fight
In the South, college football is religion – and now it’s politics too. Members of the Southeastern Conference (SEC) are furious with LSU over its attempts to sign players already in the NFL to come back to college to play for the Tigers. On Wednesday, Attorney General Chris Carr, (presumably at the behest of some big names at UGA) urged the SEC to take “all measures available” against LSU. Thursday, the league heeded that advice, suing LSU Head Coach Lane Kiffin. The legal quagmire pitting the conference against itself has LSU SINKING…
