Atlanta City Councilwoman Mary Norwood has given her endorsement to Republican candidate for governor Rick Jackson, a move that’s not necessarily surprising, but is notable. Norwood lost a runoff for Atlanta mayor to Keisha Lance Bottoms back in 2017 by only 800 votes, showing her popularity in Atlanta, particularly up in Buckhead where there’s a large swathe of GOP and independent voters. Everyone knows the best part of voting is getting your “I Voted” sticker – and to that end Georgia has unveiled its latest version, this time including artwork by renowned local artist Steve Penley.
