As the Atlanta Braves continue their playoff battle with the LA Dodgers, a group of Georgia lawmakers are backing them in a battle of their own. U.S. Reps. Brian Jack and Lucy McBath, along with U.S. Sen. Raphael Warnock, have introduced legislation to extend a provision in the 2021 American Rescue Plan that would allow publicly traded organizations – like the Braves – to treat some of their high-salaried players like executives as a normal business would. Atlanta Beltline finishes loop
Constructing the Atlanta Beltline has sometimes been like piecing together a puzzle, particularly as it weaves its way through residential neighborhoods in the northern parts of the city. But the final piece has been found, with a 0.2-acre purchase in northwest Atlanta marking the final piece of land needed to eventually complete the 22-mile loop around the city.
