Georgia law enforcement officials traveled all the way up to Buffalo, New York this week to arrest a man charged with making death threats to U.S. Rep. Mike Collins and his son-in-law. The suspect faces two counts of terroristic threats. “No American should have to worry that their home could be the next Butler, Pennsylvania or Utah Valley University,” said Collins after the arrest, referring to the assassination of conservative activist Charlie Kirk and attempted assassination of then-candidate Donald Trump. Questions linger over Atlanta City Hall investigation
An ongoing investigation into former Atlanta Municipal Clerk Foris Webb III is hitting roadblocks, as city employees are delaying or rejecting interviews by the inspector general. Webb received more than $900,000 in consulting fees from the city for his “work” on a referendum meant to block the city’s law enforcement training center, dubbed “Cop City.” That referendum got held up in court, never wound up doing anything, and the center was built, but Webb continued to cash a $35,000 check each month.
