Former Georgia gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams has been a little off the radar recently, but as Joe Biden sews up the Democratic presidential primary, we could be hearing her name pop up quite a bit more. Liberal think tank Way to Win commissioned a poll of possible female VP picks, (Biden has said he will select a woman running mate) and Abrams scored as the strongest candidate. Georgia approves three-year bachelor’s degree
Georgia is joining a handful of other states in trying out a new three-year bachelor’s degree program meant to get students into the job market faster. The University System of Georgia’s Board of Regents has approved the Bachelor of Applied Science, which cuts down on electives and only requires 90 credit hours instead of the traditional 120.
