The quick-thinking owner of the Sand Bar on Tybee Island, forced to close her place due to the coronavirus, gave her unemployed staff members a stimulus directly from the walls of their workplace. The bar had a tradition of customers stapling dollar bills to the walls and it dawned on Jennifer Knox that she ought to collect six years’ worth of the cash! Georgia approves three-year bachelor’s degree
Georgia is joining a handful of other states in trying out a new three-year bachelor’s degree program meant to get students into the job market faster. The University System of Georgia’s Board of Regents has approved the Bachelor of Applied Science, which cuts down on electives and only requires 90 credit hours instead of the traditional 120.
