The Georgia Legislative Black Caucus, the largest Black caucus in the nation, announced Monday the hiring of Deanna Hamilton as its new executive director. Hamilton, the former vice president of partner development for the National Black MBA Association, will head up the influential legislative organization, which is currently comprised of 65 Georgia House and Senate members. Dems post fundraising hauls
The 2026 governor’s race is just getting revved up, but a pair of Georgia Democrats are trying to establish themselves as early frontrunners. This week former Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms announced that she’s raised $900,000 and lent herself another $200,000, while state Sen. Jason Esteves says his campaign has raised $1.1 million since he entered the race in April. A long (long) way to go yet, and new contenders could join the field, but these two Dems’ primary odds are RISING…
