The Georgia Department of Public Health’s COVID-19 vaccine dashboard yesterday reported 2,048,591 total vaccine doses administered statewide, accounting for 82.57 percent of the state’s received allocation. That means Georgia administered one million vaccines in just twenty five days.

Gov. Brian Kemp has also announced that teachers would be added teachers to the Phase 1A vaccine group. Vaccines will be available starting Monday, March 8th.

For those waiting to schedule an appointment, the demand for Phase 1A far outweighs vaccine supply. InsiderAdvantage is told the state does not currently have enough supply to schedule an appointment for everyone who needs one. Health departments are only scheduling appointments for the vaccine allotment they have and may have to space out their appointments for the time being. As more vaccine arrives, though, more appointments obviously will become available. A full listing of vaccine locations accepting members of the public is available HERE.

The Georgia Emergency Management Agency mass vaccination sites allow patients to enroll HERE. Large hospital systems that received vaccines are also scheduling appointments. Many large hospitals are vaccinating their patients, so particularly check out the websites at Emory, Wellstar, and Piedmont.
