U.S. Sen. Raphael Warnock, D-Ga., has been ordered by a Fulton County Superior Court judge to attend mediation for a custody dispute with his ex-wife after she accused him of neglecting visitation with their two children and failing to pay childcare expenses. The judge said there were “numerous unresolved issues” between Warnock and ex-wife Oulèye Ndoye, and ordered the couple to try to reach a mediated settlement by May 7. A status hearing in the case is also scheduled for May 16, with both parties ordered to attend, This mess obviously isn’t helping Warnock’s re-election campaign, where he claims he’s an “advocate” for women and children. Georgia approves three-year bachelor’s degree
Georgia is joining a handful of other states in trying out a new three-year bachelor’s degree program meant to get students into the job market faster. The University System of Georgia’s Board of Regents has approved the Bachelor of Applied Science, which cuts down on electives and only requires 90 credit hours instead of the traditional 120.
