Gov. Brian Kemp continues to lean on Cobb law enforcement officials, tapping former Cobb Police Chief Michael Register to head up the Georgia Bureau of Investigation.  Register will succeed outgoing Director Vic Reynolds, a former Cobb DA who has been appointed as a Superior Court judge.  Register’s appointment was praised by informed observers, as the GBI continues to confront pressing statewide issues like criminal street gangs and fentanyl overdoses.  RISING…
