The campaigns for U.S. Sen. Raphael Warnock and challenger Herschel Walker appear to finally be ironing out the details for a debate in October, with the Warnock campaign accepting an invitation for the candidates to meet on stage on the condition that the questions are kept sealed beforehand and that a second debate be set for later in the month. The two have argued back and forth throughout their campaigns, with Walker declining three earlier debates, but signing up for one in Savannah with WSAV. Georgia approves three-year bachelor’s degree
Georgia is joining a handful of other states in trying out a new three-year bachelor’s degree program meant to get students into the job market faster. The University System of Georgia’s Board of Regents has approved the Bachelor of Applied Science, which cuts down on electives and only requires 90 credit hours instead of the traditional 120.
