It’s been mostly sunshine and rainbows for electric vehicle manufacturers in Georgia lately, but one of the companies that will soon call the Peach State home is hitting a bit of a rough patch.  First, a group of Morgan County residents are suing county and state officials in an effort to stop Rivian from proceeding with its planned plant in the area, alleging that they ignored zoning laws.  Meanwhile Rivian is undergoing a second round of layoffs, with an estimated 6% of its workforce expected to be cut loose.  This after the company’s stock prices have plummeted since its initial public offering in 2021.  Rivian’s future may still be bright but at the present it’s SINKING…
