Chamblee considers annexation

The city of Chamblee in DeKalb County is considering a major annexation effort – and local residents appear to be on board.  The proposal would see Mercer University’s Atlanta Campus and the nearby Embry Hills neighborhood annexed into Chamblee, adding some 3,500 residents.  Supporters have watched other cityhood efforts, both successful and unsuccessful, and have come prepared – already securing the needed signatures from residents to move forward with an annexation application.  The annexation has a ways to go but with organized support its odds are RISING…
