Following Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis’ campaign suspension over the weekend, more Georgia GOP officials threw their endorsements behind the prohibitive favorite – former President Donald Trump. Agriculture Commissioner Tyler Harper endorsed Trump Monday, as did a slew of influential Georgia Senators including Senate Majority Leader Steve Gooch, Brandon Beach, Clint Dixon, and Blake Tillery (among others.) Still notably staying out of the fray for now – Gov. Brian Kemp, who’s had a troublesome history with the former president. Atlanta snubbed for ’28 DNC Convention
The City of Atlanta and the Georgia Democratic Party made a strong push to host the 2028 Democratic National Convention, but fell short once again when it was announced that Boston, Denver and Philadelphia are the three finalists. Atlanta Mayor Andre Dickens blasted the decision, accusing the DNC of “abandoning Atlanta, abandoning the South, and once again abandoning Black voters.” The snub has Georgia Dems SINKING…
