U.S. Rep. David Scott, D-GA, is preparing to run for his 12th term in office in the 13th District, encompassing the southwest part of the Atlanta metro. But as some Democrats have privately raised concerns about the 78-year old’s fitness for office, he’s picking up a well known and well funded primary challenger. Marcus Flowers, who raised a whopping $16 million in his failed campaign against U.S. Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-GA, in 2022, has thrown his hat in the ring against Scott. Atlanta snubbed for ’28 DNC Convention
The City of Atlanta and the Georgia Democratic Party made a strong push to host the 2028 Democratic National Convention, but fell short once again when it was announced that Boston, Denver and Philadelphia are the three finalists.
