Georgia’s FY2025 budget, approved by the House late last week, includes more raises for teachers and state employees, dipping into the state’s whopping $16 billion surplus to increase state spending by $3.6 billion, (roughly 11%) over FY2024.  Most state employees will get a 4% raise, with law enforcement officers getting a one-time $3,000 raise on top of that.  Public school teachers will get $2,500 raises.  If and when the Senate signs off on the budget state employees will see their wallets RISING…
