In a piece of legislation that (almost) everyone could agree on – the Georgia Senate on Wednesday passed HB 1015 by a 40-12 margin, sending it to Gov. Brian Kemp for his signature. The bill will speed up a scheduled state income tax cut, cutting the rate from 5.49% to 5.39% and saving Georgia taxpayers some $1.1 billion. Atlanta snubbed for ’28 DNC Convention
The City of Atlanta and the Georgia Democratic Party made a strong push to host the 2028 Democratic National Convention, but fell short once again when it was announced that Boston, Denver and Philadelphia are the three finalists.
