Georgia House of Representatives Speaker Jon Burns, R-Newington, undergoes a staff change with Communications Director Stephen Lawson now joining the Dentons law firm’s public policy practice based in Atlanta. His experience spans governmental policy, media relations and strategic messaging, and he has worked for prominent public officials ranging from U.S. Sen. Rick Scott and Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis to Georgia Lt. Gov. Burt Jones and Agriculture Commissioner Tyler Harper. Atlanta snubbed for ’28 DNC Convention
The City of Atlanta and the Georgia Democratic Party made a strong push to host the 2028 Democratic National Convention, but fell short once again when it was announced that Boston, Denver and Philadelphia are the three finalists.
