You’d think the human resources department would be the one place to take hiring very seriously – but apparently not so at Atlanta City Hall where Human Resources Commissioner Tarlesha Smith has been placed on administrative leave amid accusations of nepotism. Smith is alleged to have created a position for her daughter with the Office of the City Solicitor, and when she was at risk of being fired for showing up late and skipping work Smith moved to fire Jennifer Johnson, her daughter’s new boss. Atlanta snubbed for ’28 DNC Convention
The City of Atlanta and the Georgia Democratic Party made a strong push to host the 2028 Democratic National Convention, but fell short once again when it was announced that Boston, Denver and Philadelphia are the three finalists. Atlanta Mayor Andre Dickens blasted the decision, accusing the DNC of “abandoning Atlanta, abandoning the South, and once again abandoning Black voters.” The snub has Georgia Dems SINKING…
