Sure the film industry in Georgia is glitzy, and electric cars are the wave of the future, but you know what never goes out of style? Condiments. The Lee Kum Kee Sauce Group, based out of Hong Kong, is investing in a $288 million dollar factory in LaGrange, in Troup County in west Georgia, that will produces condiments and sauces in its expanding American market. Lee Kum Kee will built the plant in the Georgia International Business Park, which since opening just five years ago has already attracted  more than 41 international companies representing 18 countries. The company, founded in 1888, has sold products in North America since the 1930s, but its newfound Georgia presence marks another win for local and state economic development professionals.
