The U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee blocked a Biden administration judicial nominee to a district court after her recommendation to transfer a biological male who “identifies” as a transgender woman to an all-female prison– despite his conviction on rape and other sex offenses. In an 11-10 vote with all Republicans voting no, Sen. Jon Ossoff, D-Ga., voted with them. Magistrate Judge Sarah Netburn apparently was too radical for Ossoff. Atlanta snubbed for ’28 DNC Convention
The City of Atlanta and the Georgia Democratic Party made a strong push to host the 2028 Democratic National Convention, but fell short once again when it was announced that Boston, Denver and Philadelphia are the three finalists.
