This week court hearings begin on whether the candidacies of several third party candidates in Georgia should be allowed to stay on the November ballot. Lawsuits filed by the Democratic National Committee and the state Democratic Party allege that candidates including Robert F. Kennedy Jr., Cornell West, Jill Stein and Claudia De la Cruz should be disqualified for a myriad of reasons – saying that some of the candidates didn’t hold “proper” conventions while others failed to pay fees or file petitions on time. Atlanta snubbed for ’28 DNC Convention
The City of Atlanta and the Georgia Democratic Party made a strong push to host the 2028 Democratic National Convention, but fell short once again when it was announced that Boston, Denver and Philadelphia are the three finalists.
