You can bet on just about anything these days, (well, other than sports in Georgia, much to the chagrin of gambling proponents) but there’s one subject that experts say could be damaging to national security. That’s gambling on elections results, which the Commodities and Futures Trading Commission is seeking to ban, arguing that it results in gamblers trying to manipulate the market, further damaging the faith that U.S. voters have in election security. Atlanta snubbed for ’28 DNC Convention
The City of Atlanta and the Georgia Democratic Party made a strong push to host the 2028 Democratic National Convention, but fell short once again when it was announced that Boston, Denver and Philadelphia are the three finalists. Atlanta Mayor Andre Dickens blasted the decision, accusing the DNC of “abandoning Atlanta, abandoning the South, and once again abandoning Black voters.” The snub has Georgia Dems SINKING…
