A massive fire at a Conyers chemical plant forced evacuations and road closures Sunday, sending a huge plume of smoke up into the air that could be seen from as far as 30 miles away. The fire was the third in seven years at BioLab on Old Covington Highway, and was sparked by sprinkler water mixing with a water-reactive chemical and wiring. Atlanta snubbed for ’28 DNC Convention
The City of Atlanta and the Georgia Democratic Party made a strong push to host the 2028 Democratic National Convention, but fell short once again when it was announced that Boston, Denver and Philadelphia are the three finalists. Atlanta Mayor Andre Dickens blasted the decision, accusing the DNC of “abandoning Atlanta, abandoning the South, and once again abandoning Black voters.” The snub has Georgia Dems SINKING…
