You’ve heard of RINOs (Republican in Name Only) but could Democrats have their own DINO running for Congress? That’s what Dems in Georgia’s 11th Congressional District think, arguing that Congressional candidate Katy Stamper, who won the May primary, is actually a Republican who is running under false pretenses. Stamper ran in the Democratic primary as an Independent and has espoused right wing talking points and donated to Republican candidates. The Democratic Party has instead endorsed Tracey Verhoeven as the “real Democrat” in the race and is pushing her as a write-in candidate. It’s unlikely to matter since the seat, held by U.S. Rep. Atlanta snubbed for ’28 DNC Convention
The City of Atlanta and the Georgia Democratic Party made a strong push to host the 2028 Democratic National Convention, but fell short once again when it was announced that Boston, Denver and Philadelphia are the three finalists.
