In the midst of a competitive district attorney race in Savannah, Chatham Co. DA Shalena Cook Jones has had an ethics complaint filed against her for failing to file her latest campaign finance disclosures, due earlier this month. Not only are candidates legally required to disclose their donations, they’re also important for the public to see who is behind the campaigns. Her Republican opponent, Andre Pretorius, reported some $256,000 in donations. Atlanta snubbed for ’28 DNC Convention
The City of Atlanta and the Georgia Democratic Party made a strong push to host the 2028 Democratic National Convention, but fell short once again when it was announced that Boston, Denver and Philadelphia are the three finalists.
